Fremont Township Statistics

The census as of year 2010 indicated there were 1,422 people.  There  were 489 households, and 365 families living in Fremont Township.
Median income for a household was $40,577, and the median income for a family is $45,956.
 
School Districts:  Fremont township is adjacent to Gratiot County to the South and Montcalm County to the West allowing for multiple school districts.   The school districts are Shepherd, Mount Pleasant, Vestaburg, Alma, and Montabella schools.
 
Commerce:  Even though Winn is an unincorporated community, Fremont Township is home to Morbark Inc.  Bandit Industries, Inc. has facilities in Fremont Township, and there are several service companies serving the needs of commerce like Winn Telephone Company and JT Auto Repair.
 
Monthly meetings of the Fremont Township Board are held in the Winn
Community Center on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.  To place items on the agenda please call the Clerk at least one week in advance of the regular meeting. Next Meeting is APRIL 23, 2013
